Screen mirroring allows you to display the content of your smartphone on a larger screen, such as a television or monitor. This feature is ideal for watching videos, playing games, or presenting documents to multiple people. Here's how to enable screen mirroring from a Samsung smartphone.

Check device compatibility

Before you begin, ensure you have:

  • A Samsung smartphone compatible with Smart View screen mirroring (recent models such as Galaxy S and Note are compatible).

  • A screen compatible with the Smart View or Miracast screen mirroring system (computer, television, etc.).

  • A working Wi-Fi connection for wireless screen mirroring.

Enable screen mirroring

    • Go to your device settings and enable the "Screen Mirroring" or "Miracast" option.

    • Open the notification panel on your smartphone

    • Swipe down from the top of the screen to display the shortcut panel.

    • Find and tap the "Smart View" icon (it may appear as a screen with an arrow).

    • A list of available devices will be displayed. Select the name of the device.

    • If necessary, follow the instructions displayed to pair the devices.

    • Once connected, your smartphone screen will be displayed on the device.

    How to stop screen mirroring

    • Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the shortcut panel.

    • Tap the "Smart View" icon again.

    • Select the "Disconnect" option or stop the connection with the device you are using.

    Tips and advice

    Hide sensitive notifications

Prevent notifications from appearing when taking a screenshot. Go to "Settings" > "Notifications" to disable them while taking a screenshot.

    Connection optimisation

For smooth wireless screen mirroring, ensure that both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

    Landscape mode

Switch your smartphone to landscape mode for a better viewing experience.
