Are you about to change your screen or have you just done so? We recommend that you calibrate it to finalise its installation.

What is screen calibration?

Calibration is a process that involves adjusting the settings on a monitor so that the colours, brightness and contrast are correctly adjusted. It also ensures that the screen works properly in accordance with your phone's settings, such as standby mode, true tone, etc.

Why calibrate your screen?

If you do not calibrate your screen after replacing it, you may encounter display defects. However, these are not always noticeable.

Calibration allows the software to 'recognise' the screen and configure it according to your device's settings.

This ensures that the screen performs to its full potential in terms of colour display, touch sensitivity, brightness, etc.

How do I calibrate my screen?

To calibrate your screen after replacement, download the Samsung Self Repair Assistant app from the Galaxy Store.

This application will automatically calibrate the screen.

  • Open the application. It will analyse your phone and detect the part to be calibrated (screen, battery, camera, etc.).
  • Select "screen".
  • All you have to do is press "Start" and the app will calibrate your part on its own.

Special feature of the Z Flip model

Please note: if you own a Z Flip and plan to replace the screen assembly (screen with frame), calibration is absolutely necessary because the screen assembly has magnets that detect when the phone is opened and closed. Without calibration, you may end up with a screen that no longer turns on!

To find out more about calibrating the Z Flip, we have written a comprehensive article on the subject.
