Description
This component connects the headphone jack, the Lightning connector, the call microphone and the network to the iPhone 5’s motherboard; if you experience the following symptoms, it needs replacing:
- difficulty inserting a charger into the Lightning port
- there is play in the connector
- you have to wiggle the connector for charging to start
- There is crackling in the headphones
- you have no sound through the headphones
- You cannot sync with a computer
- The person you’re speaking to can’t hear you properly or at all
The inside of the connectors is black; they’re designed for original on a black iPhone 5 but can be fitted without any problems on a white one.
