This part connects the jack socket, Lightning connector, call microphone and network to the iPhone 5 motherboard. If you experience the following symptoms, it needs to be replaced:

  • difficulty inserting a charger into the Lightning connector
  • there is play in the connector
  • you have to move the connector for charging to start
  • the sound crackles in the earphones
  • You have no sound in the headphones
  • Unable to synchronise with a computer
  • The person you are talking to can hear you poorly or not at all

The inside of the connectors is black, originally fitted on a black iPhone 5 but can be easily installed on a white one.
