This component connects the headphone jack, the Lightning connector, the call microphone and the network to the iPhone 6 Plus’s motherboard. If you’re experiencing the following symptoms, it needs replacing:

  • difficulty inserting a charger into the Lightning port
  • there is play in the connector
  • you have to wiggle the connector for charging to start
  • the sound crackles in the headphones
