This component connects the headphone jack, the Lightning connector, the call microphone and the network to the iPhone 6’s motherboard; if you experience the following symptoms, it needs replacing:

  • difficulty inserting a charger into the Lightning port
  • there is play in the connector
  • you have to wiggle the connector for charging to start
  • There is crackling in the earphones
  • you have no sound through the headphones
  • You can’t sync with a computer
  • The person you’re speaking to can’t hear you properly or at all

The inside of the connectors is white; they are designed for originals on a white or gold iPhone 6, but can be fitted without any problems on a black iPhone 6.
