This seal prevents dust and moisture from getting into the iPhone 7 Plus / 8 Plus.

It is recommended that you replace it after carrying out a repair to restore the original water resistance.

The seal is white and black (see photo above); this colour scheme is original on Silver, Gold and Rose Gold iPhones, but is also compatible with Jet Black and Black models, which originally have an all-black seal.
