This seal prevents dust and moisture from entering the iPhone 7, 8 and SE (2020).
It is advisable to replace it after carrying out a repair to restore the original ‘water resistance’.
The seal is black (see photo above); this colour is original on Jet Black and Black iPhones, but it is also compatible with Silver, Gold and Rose Gold models, which originally have black and white seals.
