This component connects the headphone jack, the Lightning connector, the call microphone and the network to the iPhone SE’s motherboard; if you experience the following symptoms, it needs replacing:

  • difficulty inserting a charger into the Lightning port
  • there is play in the connector
  • you have to wiggle the connector for charging to start
  • the sound crackles in your headphones
  • you have no sound through your headphones
  • You can’t sync with a computer
  • The person you’re speaking to can’t hear you properly or at all

The inside of the connectors is black; fitted on a black iPhone SE by original, but can be fitted without any issues on a white one.
